The goal | Student has to obtaine knowledge and skills necessarry for research of effects of housing building and characteristics on health status and production, and to understand the influences of transportation on animal health and quality of animal products. | |||
The outcome | PhD student should understand the importance of the basic principles of construction of production facilities and hygiene depending on the specific type of animal as well as the impact of facilities on the state of health and performance of animals and quality of products of animal origin. | |||

Contents of lectures | Theory (lectures): Basic principles of design of farm buildings and maintainance. Positioning of the stables. Building materials – different categories and quality. Basic priciples and standard construction and division of animal houses. Lighting and management of light. Ventilation. Thermal bilance in stables. Hygienic aspect of stable organization, equipment and mechanization. Construction of horse stables. Construction of cattle farm buildings. Construction of pig farm buildings.
