      The goal To deepen the knowledge of mechanisms and morphology of basic pathological processes with emphasis on sublethal and lethal damage, circulatory disorders, inflammation, adaptation growth, oncology and teratology. To become familiar with peculiarities and comparative differences of pathological processes in different organ systems related to immunological, genetic and metabolic disorders and infective agents.
      The outcome Student should acquire knowledge and skills which will enable individual diagnostic work and scientific research in the field of pathology.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Sublethal and lethal cell damage. Cell death criteria. Changes of the cell organelles, cytoplasm and extracellular matrix. Forms and outcome of necrosis. Apoptosis. Hyperemia. Plethora. Hemorrhage. Ischemia. Infarctus. Trombosis. Disseminated intravascular coagulation. Embolia. Metastasis. Disorders of microcirculation. Disorders comprising leucocytes.
