    The goal Acquiring the necessary knowledge in the field of statistical analysis, statistical overcoming problems related to veterinary medicine. Training students to work on your computer that will help future veterinarians in their daily work, the keeping of records, analysis of the results of operations, database search on the Internet.
    The outcome The student needs to know to use the basic methods of statistical analysis, to be able to perform interpretation and presentation of the results obtained in the field of biomedicine; that knows how to properly use a PC, in terms of the use of software packages (word processing, database, statistical analysis, and Internet). The student should understand the need for statistical analysis and its application in everyday work.

    Contents of lectures Descriptive statistics; The sample; Measures of central tendency, variation and shape; Theoretical schedules; Time series analysis - linear and cyclic trend; Regression and correlation analysis; Statistical hypothesis testing; Chi-square test; Analysis of variance (ANOVA); Introduction to Computer Science; Hardware and Software; Operating system; Text processor; Statistical packages and Excel; The basics of the Internet.
    Contents of exercises The distribution of frequencies; Mean values; Mere variation; The normal distribution of frequencies and central moments; Trend analysis; Correlation and regression analysis; Analysis of variance; Analysis of the data in Excel; Internet.
