The goal | Introduction to theoretical and practical aspects of the pathology and treatment of ruminants and overcoming necessary skills, important for clinical practice with the emphasis on independent solving common problems in the area of clinical pathology and treatment of cattle, sheep and goats. | |||
The outcome | The student needs to know etilogy and pathogenesis of diseases of ruminants covered by the program, understand the mechanisms of disease, be capable to perform clinical examination, to make a diagnosis and take treatment. | |||

Contents of lectures | Diseases of the oral cavity, pharynx and esophagus (3). Diseases of rumen-indigestion (3), subacute rumen acidosis (3), ruminitis and parakeratosis (3), rumen tympany (3) diaphragmatic hernia, omasal impaction (3). Diseases of abomasum (6), enteric disease, diarrhea in the neonatal period (3), post-operative ileus, peritonitis (3). Diseases of the liver and pancreas (3). Respiratory diseases (6).
