    The goal Introduction to ethics, communication and managerial standards in veterinary medicine. Training for the application of utilitarian, deontological principles of moral decision-making, the basic principles of security and well-being of conservation (Brambel convention, the "five freedoms", "3R" rule) and evaluation of animal welfare of all utility categories
    The outcome The student should consider the role of soft veterinary medicine in the functioning of modern veterinary practice. To properly understand the position of the owner and the importance of realistic and efficient communication. To get acquainted with the basic principles of persuasion and the necessary skills for proper use of it in everyday practice
    Contents
    Contents of lectures The role, status veterinary practices in the current social moment, the collective responsibility of the profession and individual responsibility veterinarian. The concept of good veterinary and laboratory practice and its concrete segments. Ethical basis of current veterinary medicine. Route veterinarian-client-patient relationship. Sources of client dissatisfaction and control methods
    Contents of exercises Presentation of good veterinary practices, visiting successful collectives. Rating welfare: farm animals (cattle, sheep, swine, poultry), horses, dogs in kennels and shelters, stray animals, animals in zoos

    Methods of teaching Lectures, initiation of active participation of students, workshops, multimedia processing teaching units. Theoretical classes combined with interactive work with the use of audio-visual techniques necessary for exploring the mechanisms of security and well-being assessment. Practical lessons on farms, stables, in dog kennels , animal shelters and institutions to work with experimental animals
