        The goal The aim of the course is to students learn about the real needs and the principles of healthy eating dogs and cats. Acquire knowledge about dietary programs of normal weight patients and the preparation and implementation of existing dietary formula that can be used in the prevention or remediation of certain pathological conditions
        The outcome After course students will know how to properly select veterinary diet for dogs and cats veterinary diet in certain pathological conditions, and will learn how to use modern information sources in the field of veterinary medicine in their daily work

        Contents of lectures Basic nutrition. Specific needs in vitamins and minerals. Idiosyncrasies feeding cats. Advantages and disadvantages of existing diet. History and development of commercial formula for feeding. Proper interpretation of the declaration of commercial products on the market, the type of product, palatability, digestabilnost. Nutritional needs of specific life stages. Nutrition during diseases
