      The goal Acquirement of now knowledge of biological cycle of parasite development, morphological and morphometrical characteristics important for identification of parasites (taxonomy status). Interactions between parasites and hosts; Introduction and adoption of the latest methods of parasitological laboratory diagnostics.
      The outcome The student should acquire now knowledge about the morphological characteristics, the development cycle of the parasite and the interaction of parasites and hosts; apply appropriate methods for sampling, isolation and identification of parasites and / or developmental stages of the parasite.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Morphological characteristics of parasites on molecular level, antigenic characteristics of parasites, host-parasite interaction, biology and factors that determine the prevalence of parasites in the living world. Mastering the parasitological techniques for isolation and identification of different species of parasites (PCR, gel electrophoresis, ELISA, Western blot).
