    The goal Acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills that enable recognition of the disease, the application of appropriate sampling methods, isolation and identification of the parasites and / or developmental stages of the parasite, as well as diagnosis.
    The outcome After the course, students should know the diagnostic procedure in clinical parasitology, to know the proper sequence of history, observation, sampling materials for laboratory examination, the application of appropriate methods in the diagnosis, and the diagnostics based on laboratory results and clinical signs.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Basic characteristics of the diagnostic procedures in clinical parasitology applied in daily practice (15).
    Contents of exercises Sampling, packaging and shipping materials;preservation and fixation diagnostic samples of tissues and parasites; application of adequate methods for isolation and identification of the parasite;methods of isolation and identification of developmental forms of the parasite by using parasitological,serological and molecular methods;correct interpretation,analysis of results and final diagnosis.
