      The goal Introduction to the types of clinical trials in veterinary medicine, specificities in clinical and experimental research on various animal species, research methods, standards and ethical principles in clinical research..
      The outcome The student should know the types and methods of clinical trials, the specificity of the tests on certain animal species, the method of extrapolation of results from one species to another, understand the principles of animal welfare, know experimental models, and know how to plan and perform the experiment on the selected animals.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Scientific research work in animal clinical pathology and therapy. Types of clinical trials. Epizootiological methods of testing. Clinical drug testing. Selection of experimental animals, extrapolation of results from one species to other species of animals and humans. Animal welfare and scientific research. Ethical principles and clinical trials on animals. Planning and realization of clinical trials.
